new oil filter failed just did the oil change 2 weeks ago

I know with the 6.0 ford diesels some of the longer filters were not better. I want to say it was a frame but not 100% sure. The pleats would push back from the base and allow a large portion of the oil pass the filter element. Again this was for a diesel and a whole different class of filter..
