Hi! Been lurking for a bit and gathering intel. Picking up my suede gray 19’ AR 195 on May 3rd. Ice out has happened on most MN lakes now so getting a bit antsy. I’m trying to have all my bases covered and have fun with this and I’m not a stranger to boats but here is how the boat will be being delivered to me in terms of upgrades/add-ons:

1. Stoltz Roller
2. Fire Extiguisher
3. New Radials
4. Transom Boat Buckles
5. On board battery tender Pro6
6. Trailer Guides

Any other recommendations? I haven’t ventured into any tower speaker options or replacement speakers or amps as of yet maybe next year...how did I do?

Thanks for all the info!

Welcome aboard! Some early upgrades I would to that baot would be Cobra fins/fangs and upgrade sound system...not necessarily in that order.

Glad to have you board,
Update your profile with your location and be sure to look at our FAQ

You can go cobra or JBP vectors, both are good. As for new radials, Not sure if they're still having that issue with the tires. Dont forget fenders and a hook, key floats and a CHECKLIST!!! I know there's a thread somewhere in the forum, feel like I was just on there.
Anyway...

Appreciate all the usable advice. Where can I get the vectors? Are they easy to install? DIY? Do the 2019 models still need them? I am assuming these help with maneuverability? So many questions I know!

Before installing any steering enhancements, I would take the boat and get a feel for it first and determine if you need it. If you have any questions about AR195 Mods let me know, I have done most of them.

How do you plan on using the boat, cruising, water sports or fishing to name a few. How many people will usually be on board. Where do you normally go boating. Have you boated in the past?

Here’s another mod I would seriously think about after you have had the boat out a few times. I have heard the new haul design on the 2019 AR195 has resulted in increased cavitation. I would highly recommend the SVHO Lucky 13 cone. It’s a $300 mod that will damn near reduce all cavitation.

I'm checking into these guys WET WOLF TECH - PWC JET PUMP PERFORMANCE TUNING for my twins. About half the price. Spoke with them yesterday and almost pulled the trigger. Need to confirm my pump size. I believe it's 155mm but not sure.

Unless you you have an AR 195 you will have a 155 mm and will want the SHO cone with three bolts, the 160 mm on the 195’s have a cone with 4 bolts. @swatski Can correct me if I’m wrong.

Does this apply to the Rotax engines/pumps? I have a Chaparral.

I’m sorry that’s out of my wheel house you may want to give them a call. I would take a flash light and look at your cone. You should be able to see how many bolts yours has. But the Rotax could be completely different.

I believe you're correct, I believe it's 3. Speaking with them yesterday, he said the same. I just need to hang off the back of the boat to confirm.

Sounds good thanks for the advice I think I have the main ones covered so far I hadn’t planned on putting any steering enhancements in as of yet we won’t be doing a lot of docking per se we are mostly going to be doing trailering to a lake for a day tubing, lounging finding a sand bar and the occasional slim to none fishing.
