No sound from stock radio

If you open the face plate, there is a little inset reset button on the head unit. You will need a paper clip or a well-sharpened pencil to get to it (I would recommend the clip). Pushing that will reset the entire unit and has freed up mine from odd behavior before (which, in my case, had been triggered by the remote). Something to try.

Maybe this is a good time to upgrade your sound system.

I thought the same maybe I will just buy an an amp to add to the head unit and see if that fixes the issue. I upgraded the speakers in the off season.

You upgraded the speakers this winter? Have you checked the wiring on all speakers? Improper wiring could be your issue.

They have been working fine for months. I used the factory clips to plug right up to all of them no change. If the speakers didn't make the beeping sound when I switched the radio station on the scan function I would think about this one more but since they do I don't think that is it. That is the part that really baffles me is when i hit the scan function it still makes a beeping sound which just blows my mind.

Again, you have 2 inline fuses in the wiring harness behind the radio. I believe the 10 amp fuse is for the amp. Check it. Make sure it's not blown or corroded. Check the other inline fuse also.

After messing around with my stereo for a couple of days I tossed mine and bought a Fusion. Money well spent.
