Oil steering cables from rack end?

My 2018 SX210 has the usual stiff steering. I tried pushing oil into the cables from the back end, and I could move one cable by hand , but not the other. The boat is currently on the lift, so pretty hard to get to the back end. I know you can't take the rack apart, but It looks like you could pour some oil into the rack and let gravity pull some into the cables, but I can't find a reference to this potential method anywhere. Does anyone know if this is possible and if it works?

Doubt it will make it down the cable from the rack. The rack box is not sealed, the fluid will leak out. This is what the other end looks like

Scroll down a few post and watch the video that this guy made. He is on point on how to lubricate the steering except for one thing in my opinion. The hose needs to go all the way up to the transom and clamped off on the boot lip. Use a large enough diameter tube to allow the steering cable free moment within the tubing while turning wheel back and forth. Otherwise you will have a mess. Use at least 70psi, maybe less with thinner viscosity fluids. I like the original corrosion X, I lube every year pre season, as I am in Salt water, and have had no issues. Put a trash bag around your steering rack to catch the excess and let it drip for a day afterwards. then zip tie a ziplock with rags around it and leave it that way for the season. That should free it up, let us know how it goes.

@paulwjax I'm on the same boat.
After having my boat for 2 years, I did the steering cable lubrication method and it worked the 1st time, it's not perfect but brings your steering to about 60 tp 70% better and with time it will get harder.
After 6 years, my cable finally gave our to the point you cannot turn it anymore. So I have to replace it, but the part is no avaliable.
The cable is made by seastar and the seastar part # is SC14612 (see picture) which is specifically made for Yamaha, abd can't be purchased anywhere! So I'm stuck with damaged cable and have no part to replace...
