man that was frightening ... a JB Help request from @Julian that I had to read and was wondering if this guy needs help ... what on earth could I possibly bring to the table to assist him ...
Error code 1 = no malfunctionYamaha code 1 ?
Probably caused cavitation and an over heat on that engine. Start and stop the engine 3-5 times in a row and see if the error clears.[USERGROUP=9]@HELP[/USERGROUP] anyone know what Would cause this? Sucked up some wood, but it wasn’t wedged in between the impeller and pulled out easily.
tried that, Engine light still active. I have water coming out of both pissersProbably caused cavitation and an over heat on that engine. Start and stop the engine 3-5 times in a row and see if the error clears.
@Julian just to make sure I’m doing it correctly, should I rapidly turn it on then immediately turn it off, rinse and repeat 4 more times?
You want the connext screen to fully start up and be operational.@Julian just to make sure I’m doing it correctly, should I rapidly turn it on then immediately turn it off, rinse and repeat 4 more times?
Yep, so I did that a couple times but no luckNope. Start it and shut it down. Complete engine cycles.
Boat was fully powered on and I had the operational engine on wake modeYou want the connext screen to fully start up and be operational.
I extended the YES warranty an extra 2 years, but it’s a 2019 so I’m hoping this falls under the warrantyMight be one of the many sensors. We have heard of those going bad. Can you get a reading on the temp of the engine on both sides using an IR thermometer and do a comparison? I am sure you have a YES warranty but this may be easier to fix at home
