Ok sorry @Tracy Short ... I have a lot of things up in the air right now and they are all lake boating and they are all close together... lol. Life is tough.. I invited u to the jetboaters.net get together on the 10th at falls lake.... that's is a different thread and the one I meant to tag u in.... this thread is for a pot luck my wife and I are putting together with friends from work and their families on the weekend before... the 3rd... also at falls lake and in the same area... I have invited any jetboater.net to come as well.. it's a family friendly event and well.... it will be safe due to mostly cops and their families there. You are welcome to come that day as well although I know it is a hall for u. I will tag u in the jetboaters.net get together. .... (in addition to all that we have a fam reunion at falls lake... same area this saturday... lol too much going on).. sorry for the confusion..

Soooo this is canceled! The tropical hurricane depression storm thing has ruined the last few months of planning... sigh! Now we gotta figure out somewhere to go on sunday or monday... depending on how much rain we get... we would like to go to a new lake but not sure where that will be. Only time will tell..

Yeah....we cancelled our Wrightsville trip too. But was thinking that the weather Sunday would have cleared up....so I hope to be out on Sun/Mon....on Falls.

Ok so here is a happy update... mostly... surprisingly the state will not refund our money. They dont care that a hurricane has arrived so our money is going to the state... looking at the forecast after about noon the chance of rain is 10% chance of rain. Most of the hard stuff will be out by 5am and the afternoon is going to be pretty. We are going to arrive at shelter number 6 around noon and plan on having food around 2 pm. Anyone who finds themselves on or even around the lake is welcome to come. I am not sure of the overall size of the group now, we were over 60 people of officers and their families but not sure how many will come now.. anyway.. even if it rains it isn't expected to be heave after noon and the picnic shelter is covered. So we are back on, in a limited capacity.

Looks like central nc dodge most of the hurrican... we had a lot of rain but the weather over falls lake is clearing... the weekend potluck is still on ... anyone who decideds to venture to falls is well come.. we are at shelter 6.. my boat will be there.. hopefully the weather last night scared away all the once a year boaters!

I may come out early afternoon.....could you use another boat for rides/wakeboarding/tubing? Happy to help out our local LEOs!
