It's outdoor patio season and if you are like me you have some stand up patio heaters. It seems like after one year every one of them I have ever owned will not stay lit once you light it. I found a very easy fix for this. There is a tilt switch on the heater that shuts it down in case it gets knocked over while lit. Most people never leave these unattended so really you should not need this switch, but I'm sure it's there based on some past law suit or CA law. Anyway, all you have to do is cut the 2 lead wires running to that black tilt switch and splice them together. Takes maybe 15 minutes and the thing will light and stay lit no problem.
Here is a quick video to show you what that switch looks like. Either solder or splice the wires together with a wire splice or wire nut.
