Re-boarding options.

So, has anyone explored any options for re-boarding your boat from the water? I love my boat, but the rear boarding ladder is barely working for me anymore.
I'm getting older and have had several knee surgeries. Climbing that ladder that tends to swing under the boat, and hauling my fat ass up into the boat is becoming a chore.
Anyone have any ideas or try anything new??
(And please don't respond with "Eat a carrot!")

What's your boat?

My ladder stays propped outward and it's easy to use even out of the water. Oem windline.

Maybe something's not quite right with it? Should not swing in.

Mine is pretty straight, i completely understand what you mean. I have seen others that are pitched more at an angle rearward.

2006 SX210 - it does push slightly forward toward the bow with weight on it, but the whole setup with the single boarding strap on the swim platform is terrible. Narrow ladder, one strap to grab onto, takes lot of effort, especially in deeper water.

Add a second strap? It's just 2 holes and bolts/buts/washers

We actually have a Pup Plank for our dog! I've been thinking about giving it a try!

What about using a cheap ski rope that you cut and size to go over your ski rope "hook" on the rear of the boat. Size it just long enough to allow you to use the handle to help keep you more upright as you walk up the ladder?

Maybe have a metal fab shop put some “swing stops” on your current ladder that would hold it out a better angle for you.

I have seen videos of those types, pretty good idea for someone with strength issues getting up with a ladder but you still want to get in and out of the water.
