Replacing the trim on our "storage closet" door opening

Yeah I ordered and replaced it too. The thing that really got me, not the looks of it... but every time I had to dig deep in there, I would get glue on my back or arms and end up covered in the sticky crap. Gave up trying to fix the OEM crap and all is good now. :);)

Ok, I'm a little late to the party but I just ordered mine. Carol @ McMaster-Carr said I would have it tomorrow. Don't know how they can ship that fast as I ordered it @ 1120 edt. Maybe they're using one of those new drone services. ;)

Looks like they have 5 warehouses across the country....and a great fulfillment system!

Yep. I was shocked how fast I go mine too.

Ordered mine late Sunday night and it just arrived, less than 48 hours since I ordered. Mine was shipped from Atlanta, GA which is about a 4 hour drive from my house, still impressed with the shipping speed.

It took me about an hour to replace both the helm door and the head door, that's removing the old seal, cleanup the goo, and install the new seal. I used WD-40 to remove the goo from the factory door seal. Now with the new door seal installed both doors seal tight no more door rattle.

This is what I used to cut the new door seal, 9" large wire cutter, and it cut the seal clean and easily.

Same deal... Sunday night order, shipped yesterday, and it showed up and hour ago. It shipped from a DC out of north eastern Ohio. Looking forward to making it down the boat to rip the old out and install the new!

I have 91 inch of molding left over, that is enough to do the helm compartment door on the 2007 - 2009 230's, not sure on other models. I am will to sell it for $12 which includes shipping to any of the 48 continental US states. Just pm me and I will give you my PayPal information.

Finally made it down to the boat and installed the new trim. This was so inexpensive and stupid easy I almost cannot believe it. I used a tin snips to cut it and it worked out pretty well. Many thanks to itsdgm for coming up with this and sharing!

I've got to give credit where it's due, I was just following/posting what others had already done. I just figured that starting a thread on JB.N might help a few guys out. I can't believe how easy it was to order the trim and install once I knew what trim would work. Thanks again @Julian for supplying the info.

@itsdgm I'm glad I could help....its what the board is all about! It also spurred me to get the trim off the shelf where it had been sitting for 6 months and put it in!!!!! You ordered yours and installed it in the time it took me to get my act together!!!

@itsdgm , @Julian ... maybe I just missed it... is 10ft enough to do both the helm and the head?

Thanks @andy07sx230ho for answering @cwoav8r 's question. I don't have a helm closet on my 210. So I wouldn't be able to help on that one.
