I am having trouble finding the Telefax Part Number for the 2012 AR240 Reverse Cable (OEM# F2D-U149C-00-00)

I have bought many other cables using Teleflex Numbers SSC21918, CCX63317... But, can't find cross reference for this one.

Please, let me know if anyone have more information, I don't have the original one to look the printed number.

Thank you

I don't think they've changed the connections, so the important part is the length. What happened to the old one.....IE ... why can't you measure the length of the old one?

Hi Julian, I'm trying to help out a friend that just bought the 2012 AR240. His boat is at the Marina, kind of far from me.
If he cannot locate the number on the cable, I may have to take the cable out before. The controls are just a little tied, but it is his 1st boat and he is having a hard time maneuvering. I would use it for one more season before changing but new ones would make his life easier!

It's strange that other 2012 models (SX) use F2A... as other years, but the AR uses F2D... .
Maybe the connections on the control are different. I have to check.

To tell you the truth, I didn't want to go all the way to disassemble and go back to install again. It's far and the marina has to drop down the boat. So I need to take a trailer there to do the job.

I called Seastar Solution that are making the Teleflex, let's see what they say when they call me back.

Let me know if you find any info, please.

Thanks for replying!!!

Just talked to Technical Support at Seastar Solutions, they can't help cross-referencing any cables.
The only way will be taking the number printed on the original ones and try Telefax new ones and see if connectors are compatible.

Again, if anyone has found out the compatibility, please inform.

Has anyone run down the parts conversion for the Reverse Cable Yamaha PN: F2D-U149C-00-00 ... I see from @Bruce 's FAQ that the prior 240/242 Part #: F2A-U149C-00-00, mapped to
SeaStar: CCX63318, SBT: 27-2421, Peach Marine:PM-701-48320-90-00 ... not sure if this will work for my 2013 242 Limited S and what is coming up as PN: F2D-U149C-00-00 according to www.yamahasportsplaza.com

Did you ever figure this out? @James Reed is trying to run this down here

Sorry for the potentially silly question, but what is the recommended way to seal around the stern hull exit to the reverse buckets? Goop up some 3M 4000 around the hole inside and out? I have a bent end on one of my shift lever cables, so I’ll be replacing both this week.

I would only chalk where you find sealant on the removal of the cable. For example on my 2013 242 LS there is Silicon found only on the inside of the through-hull fitting. The Service Manual for my boat also specifies sealant only on the inside of hull’s fitting.
