so today I took my sx190 on its madien run (for me) and at 35mph is ran at a constant 7k rpm’s is tht normal to run that high? Boat hit about max 45mph and was just below 8k rpm’s also my throttle kept backing itself down to a slower speed with vibration. Im guessing tighten the bolts under that black cap on the throttle?

Normal RPMs.

Yes tighten the screw. It should be underneath a small plastic cap on the aft side of the throttle base.

Normal RPMs.

I second this. 100% normal.

It took me awhile to get used to the non-linear rpm vs speed relationship in the jet compared to my old I/O. Get maybe 18-20mph at 5500 and then 28 at 6k, then 35 at 7k, and 42 at 7500.

What you actually need to do regarding the throttle drop is this. The instructions are for a duel throttle, but it applies to our single engine boats as well.

I'd try adjusting the friction screw instead https://jetboaters.net/threads/vide...-detent-using-no-wake-mode.15825/#post-272249
