I bought a new 2016 242 Limited S about a month ago. The dealer had provided at least one test drive on the boat in salt water. They "assured" me they thoroughly flush engines and wash everything down after operating in salt water.
However, both of my props have about an inch of surface rust on each blade that I noticed when I previewed boat but they tried to tell me it was just buildup and it would come off.
Anyone have rust on their props and do you think Yamaha will replace under warranty since it was there when I bought it? Is it even worth them tearing my unit down to get to them for replacement?
Also, anything to be concerned with if they didnt flush the engines properly and salt water sat in the engine for 4-5 months before I bought it?
Thanks
