Just got my 255 wake, and I didn't have to buy at Marine Max (but that was a different thread)!

I'm loving it so far. But I can't get the SXM button to do anything to allow me to activate the radio. Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks in advance!

I would double check to see if you need an xm/sirus module for it to work. As yamaha guys were having the same issue. Module was not included with boat

Hey there - You do need to purchase the SXM module and puck. I had that installed and I love it!

Thanks Lauders! Did you by any chance upgrade the mapping with the GPS also? I had heard that was an add-on as well..

I have some GPS functionality but I don't really use any of it because we have a cabin on a small lake so I pretty much just go boating there... let me know what you find out on this one, I'm curious now...

Bought the XM module that Medallion specified, but there is no port to plug it into on the radio module itself.... I'm at a loss

Connect the SXM module into the box underneath the port console. The box here is the control module for the medallion touch screen. See the diagram. I will post pics of the finished product when I get out to the boat.

maybe I am just WAY off.. but I don't think I have any type of stereo controller other than the "Viper II" unit that powers all of the functions on the Medallion touch-screen. It is a black module with a small antenna, 2 USB ports, input from the GPS puck, and some RCA jacks out that are bundled and run to the back of the boat. No type of head unit, and the remote on the swim platform looks like a "no name" unit with minimal function. I do not have the components shown in your pictures (thanks for that, by the way).

I have that unit too-- there's no speaker wires from that controller. Perhaps yours is mounted in a different location? Do you have the premium sound upgrade? Strange....

IMG_20160730_1922533.jpg Out of the wiring harness pops some RCA jacks that plug into speaker style wires. I have tower speakers, sub...etc. I'll look and make sure it is the "premium". What you see here in the photo is all I can find

Here is a link to the controller?module that I am working on- It doesn't include Sirius compatibility in the description, but the tech at Medallion said it was "plug-and-play". I did buy what was described as premium sound, which has 3 amps, 2 tower speakers, 4 cabin speakers, and a sub.

Where are your amps located? Typically underneath the port side behind the storage box

Storage box, as in rear facing passenger seat? Those have ballast bags in them. I thought they might be under the sink... ? The owners manual doesn't cover much.

Medallion says that there IS a stereo head unit.. I've just got to find it!

No idea where on the 255. Good luck, once you find the pics I posted should help -- keep us posted

The unit is under the sink, in the "head area"! I'll pull that tonight and plug in with the help of the diagram and photos! Thanks!
