Got my satellite radio activated today. Best deal I could find is as follows:
1.Go to Best Buy and buy the receiver above (Stratus 7). It is $79.99 BUT they will price match Amazon Prime at $35 - good deal!
2. Call the promo dept. of Serius XM and ask them about the $49.99 6 month promotion and activate it.
3. Before the season is over, cancel the plan.
This is really worth it to me. For around the cost of a gas tank I get to enjoy great music for the entire season w/o having to sign a long term contract. The best thing is being able to take the boat anywhere in the country and knowing I will have reliable reception! - Cell towers in the better TN lakes are awful!
Lastly, Sirius also has a promo where if you pay full price for the service, they'll give you the receiver for free. <<<---- Don't do this.
