I thought the same thing !! And mine gave out Sunday afternoon trying to winch it up at shelbyville !!! While the Ramp waa slammed!!! It was a mess ! Got to the parking lot to come up w a plan and had to dunk it back in the water ! The strap was slipping on the spool , it's never done that before .... Def don't want to be in that situation again so best 130$ I spent

I might need a couch to sleep on after one LOL. #3200 LBS, I need to look at the original winch to see what that one is rated for. It should be a piece of cake to winch the boat up now. When Becky say's "why do we need this the other one is FINE" I will tell her I bought it for her so now she can winch the boat up as I drive the boat up to the stop. WIN WIN for Me

Just Now told the wifey. I'm good @mattschepker. Hope you are too. Wifey says "And why ? Isn't boating season almost over?" Informed her that I got it for her so she can more easily crank on the winch, besides it was $100 cheaper if I order NOW.
