Figured it would be fun to start a thread on animals. Everyone treats their pets pretty much like family. Some go to greater lengths than others, haha! Some of the members on here may even be searching for the right animal for their family and could find it in this thread.

I’ll start by adding a pic of our dog, Daisey. She’s a Bernedoodle, Bernese mountain dog and poodle mix. Went from 8 pounds to now 75 pounds. We brought her home about the same time we found out that my wife was pregnant. She is one of the best dogs we have ever owned partly because she is the perfect family dog as you can see below. PJ has terrorized her since birth and Daisey has never once snapped at her or anyone in general. My wife always jokes with me saying I’ll cry when our dog eventually passes away, but I can tell you PJ will cry way more than me for sure.

This is Aspen. We adopted her in late 2016. Best we can tell she was ~1yr old when we got her. Has the head and temperament of a Labrador, has the body, energy, and general build of a boxer/pit bull. We went looking for a puppy. Walked into the local shelter and all the other dogs lost their mind in an attempt to get our attention, she looked up saw us and just laid back down with a "adopt me or don't I don't really care".....We immediately thought "That one, she's our speed".

She has been an exceptionally good dog. Listens really well, protects our two boys diligently, and is just in general really excellent. She gets a little excited from time to time, and for some reason doesn't get along with the UPS man, but those are stretches to find faults. Only real complaint with her is that she can't get back on the boat herself. Otherwise, just a really great all around dog.

This is one of my favorite pictures of her. Mom/Oldest/Dog all completely worn out from a day on the water. I think this was June of '17 or so. She was really young here.

Here’s our dingo. He’s about 12 and costs more than the boat in ongoing maintenance. Ate a dish rag last week and cost $5k on top of being on the losing end of 3 big fights in his life that required doggy hospital visits.
He’s an idiot but we love him and he’s good with kids.

Our German Shepherd shares the idiocracy. 2 surgeries in 2 years and now we have court in Oct because the animal police stopped by because he "bit" a neighbor. They looked at him and said "he didnt bite anyone, he was playing. If he bit someone, they would be dead". Lol

Luckily everyone is ok..

Our German Shepherd shares the idiocracy. 2 surgeries in 2 years and now we have court in Oct because the animal police stopped by because he "bit" a neighbor. They looked at him and said "he didnt bite anyone, he was playing. If he bit someone, they would be dead". Lol

Here’s our crazy boy Tucker. He’s just over 2 years old now and has a personality like no dog I’ve ever had before lol. I swear he is something else trapped in a dogs body . He has grown up to be quite a good size and strong! I’ve never done a DNA and he’s not what the humane society had on his sheet lol. I think he has mountain cur and some other breed but who knows. We love him and happy to rescue!

We have two labradoodles one 12 (Bella) one 5 (Winnie). Winnie loves the boat and water.....Bella doesn't.

When I found this forum we had Bella and Zipper, both were old dogs. Bella, a 12yo Akita here, loved everybody. Arguably, our "best" dog.



Zipper, a 14.5 yo Border Collie, was my sheep herding dog on the farm when I milked sheep and we made cheese.



Bella passed, then the new puppy showed up. He did not care for her energy much.



We now have two Belgian Shepherds, a Turvuren and a Gronendahl.
