I didn’t do the install myself for the exact reason you are stating. Had my dealership mechanics install it for me

they did a really professional job

cost me about $800 for the labor

I cannot stand being the guinea pig. I have reached out to a few dealers in the area and none have done it and they continuously frown upon the idea stating not enough space in the transom. That's usually a red flag! The boat mechanic that did my install on the AR240 has since retired and moved. Thanks for the prompt reply and enjoy your boat!
