I managed to suck up a rope today, and it wasn't even mine. Loading the boat at the end of the day at a crazy busy ramp. It had a large metal latch on one end and wow did it make an awful sound beating the grate and bottom of the hull. But the good news is no damage to the boat just my soul because I don't think I qualifies me for the trophy. ?20200606_211934.jpg
That's what's left after a little work with a hooked blade box knife. So score at the end of the day me 1 rope 0.

Oh, I think that earns you a trophy. You even had a metal end!

I think an [USERGROUP=3]@Administrative[/USERGROUP] person will back me up here.

Sucked up rope gets you a trophy!!!! Doesn't matter who's it is!!!

Yeah my mind was blown to see no damage after hearing it for the few seconds it took to shut it down

I want a trophy!!!! Haha. I did the same thing last night. Got the rope out, but now my gears won’t go into forward or reverse?? It ran fine for a few minutes, but then quite engaging the trans. What do you think happened? I would like to fix ASAP, as we are scheduled for a river vacation next week, but now shop as availability right now. Go figure. :)

No trans look at the bucket to see if it is obstructed and disconnect the cable and check that it moves freely. Include your location there might be a member close to you that could give you a hand if needed

Ok, as the proverbial noob, I think I overlooked the first and most obvious issue. Seems that clean out plug was not engaged properly. When I put it back in, while we were still in the water, I did not get it tight enough. It was completely disengaged by the time I had it on the trailer. The transparency of my idiotic behavior is crystal clear. I’m going to take her for a test run tonight to confirm that was the issue. Thank you!

Thank you! Happy 4th!
