Starboard check engine

Hi all
Today took the boat out to silver glenn .After 5 min stb check engine came on alarm beeping check the plugs ,both pisser were good water flow. BUT no wake on Stb side not working.
Throttle worked fine and after a while no wake start working both engine. Check engine light is still on boat drives fine no problem. Can't figure out what's wrong thanks in advance for help

Did the display actually say "check engine" or something else?

I just verified what I was thinking, and the owner's manual for your boat states that "check engine" means faulty sensor. Any other condition would be named on the display. If your no wake mode wasn't working and then it started working, it's very possible you have a loose connection at the no wake mode switch. That would cause the check engine light AND the lack of no wake mode. I would start there. Also, low batteries have been known to cause the "check engine" conditions along with a host of other issues.

Display showed amber engine symbol.
Today went under the on the trailer found out bunch of fishing line sucked up on the impler shaft .cleared it no more engine symbol .
