Starboard Engine Overheat Warning

Had the overheat ding on my 2019 ar240. Towed another boat for awhile then had a 30 mile run after. All seemed fine until got to landing. Then the overheat code came on. Noticed earlier in the day that the starboard was stiff coming out of reverse. Anyone ever experience that?

Stiff coming out of reverse?

The binnacle was hard to move?

Dig around and found the problem. Chewed up plastic bottle. Now to reset the code. Did however find what appears to be stress cracks in the gel coat near the stern seat storage

It will reset after its cleared and running with no further warnings. Other wise you can remove the battery cable for 20 to 30 minutes , could be a shorter time as well.

2016 yamaha sx240 started to overheat took to shop they Replaced O2 sensors so far got it back ran great for 1520 minutes started overheating again took back to the dealership now they can’t figure out what’s going on the boat is throwing another code while there and they’re saying something about throttle valve I’m personally thinking Corroded thermostat or bad impeller. Just got a call from mechanic now they’re saying port engine will not turn over Bought the boat from salt water now it’s only used in freshwater
