Sucked up a rock; impeller question

Just wanted to post an update. Thanks to all of you i was able to pull the pump and replace the impeller with a new oem one. Didn't replace the housing, though (It will be at some point but it seemed fine for the most part).

Got it on the water yesterday and it worked just fine. With the new impeller it almost felt better than it did before i ate rocks for dinner.

I did notice one thing, though, when taking the pump out.

The fifth bolt (the smaller one) is missing. I'm guessing the previous owner either did something himself or had someone do it and never put it back in. I've been looking on parts sites and no one has it available that I can find.

Do you guys know the size of this thing by chance so I can just go buy one at a hardware store? I can't find any information on it anywhere. Or if you have a lead on where to find an oem one.

Picture below of the one I'm talking about.

Here is the Yamaha service manual for that assembly. The bolt you are needing is item #7. It is an M6 x 30mm. Should be available at any hardware store OR Lowes / Home Depot ?

Holy crap you're my hero.

Would I be wanting a zinc bolt? Galvanized? Not sure what the material would be that I need for this one.

Thanks so much!

I would think that zinc is what you are going to find ? I will defer to the "chemist" members however !!

FYI , I have also used Babbitt's AND Partzilla to purchase Yamaha OE parts. They both currently show to have that item in stock ? Yamaha OE part number 90119-06894-00. These online sites can sometimes be very slow to ship items even if they have them in stock however ?

I would think you want a stainless bolt. Zinc plated will rust quick. Galvanized maybe in an emergency.

Agree on the stainless...

Didn't check Babbitt's but partzilla and the other ones I looked at said not available. Amazon had a seller selling one bolt for $35. No thanks.

I'll see if I can find it on one of those sites now, or just get a stainless one.

Thanks!

I just looked at the blown up parts diagram on Partzilla, and that doesn't look like the right part number.

Isn't it actually 90119-06899-00 (number 5 in the linked diagram)?

Yes, I think 7 from the manual is 5 in the online parts diagram.
