Team,

Short story even shorter...took the boat out this Saturday. After, took it home, lowered the ladder and proceeded to clean the boat out. Put everything away EXCEPT the deck (transom) ladder. Backed out of my driveway (inclined) and bent the ladder and its mounting frame when it dragged backwards on the street. :(

Anyway, I did some research, and it seems the replacement ladder is Part # F6B-U2425-00-00, which is a bit pricey. This is for a 2023 SX220.

Are there any aftermarket replacements you recommend?

Thank you in advance for the help.

Ric

Hey there,

I saw that ladder along with a few different brands on Amazon. I was very tempted to get one for a heck of a lot cheaper than the factory model. At the end of the day, I decided against it due to uncertainty of fitment.

Anyway, I ended up spending $216 plus tax for an original part (F6B-U2425-00-00/F6B-U2425-01-00-3463). It appears -00- was replaced by -01-.

Thank you for the feedback.

I did the same, used this and works 100%. We did need to redrill 2 holes for proper alignment.
Did you reuse the rubber latch from the yamaha ladder? do you think we can change only the ladder and keep the support? after working in the boat the ladder was installed and the nuts were loose, I didn't checked, next time on the water took the lader out so my daughter got in the boat, and I saw the ladder going to the bottom of the lake.

I did re-use the rubber latch from my OEM ladder. You can keep your OEM frame support, I changed mine because it was bent pretty bad. But the new and old were the same design. The only thing with the OEM latch is, you need to weld a the nipple to the underside of the ladder for the rubber latch to attach to. Or just drill and tap an Allen head cap bolt to it so the rubber latch has something to catch to. I cut the nipple off the bottom of my OE ladder and TIG welded it to the bottom rung. But drilling and tapping a cap bolt will do the same thing.
