Hello I have just decided to get into boating after moving close to Wilmington, NC. I've had Yamaha jet ski's for many years and have been very happy with them. Currently have a newer Superjet and a old Blaster so I have really always been a Yamaha kinda guy.
I have seen the SX192 online but the nearest boat dealer is about 2 hours from us so we went out looking today and saw a 2014 Scarab 195 at MarineMax at Wrightsville Beach. I had never heard of Scarab before but the guy said it had been around for years but recently jumped into the jet boat market. The retail price w/options is 34,946, they will discount it to 28,916 and out the door for 30,178. Is this a good deal? I am thinking I could get a SX for about the same price but really do not know much about these boats or which is better. In my mind the Yamaha has the history and reliability going for it...
Can you experienced guys help me out with the on the water experiences as well as a good price for a 19ft boat. I see Scarab has a 195 HO as well, is it worth the extra $$$?
Thanks
