The All new Yamaha 30Ft SS30 sport cruiser cabin ....

Im not swatski so I wouldn't say that :eek:
Its a SeaRay 290SDX OB. To me its a larger nicer appointed Yamaha with outboards lol
Captain Nick is not my fave but the boat is SO Nice

I absolutely love this boat. The Monterey 305ss is another good one to look at, got to get one on at the boat show a couple weeks ago. Dash layout is a little dated, but a solid boat.

@Evil Sports @elcue

Are these big OB bowriders still reasonably trailerable?

Beam on most of these 29-30' bowriders only goes up to 9'. Might be an issue in some locales, but should tow just fine.

Yeah its been a while since I had to do a lower unit oil change but I'll never forget that smell.
Does that lube get that smell from the stator being sunk in there? I noticed a similar smell when I change the primary oil out of my Buell (Harley based engine) The stator is in there and it stinks it up plenty. When the stator went out, it was the strongest smelling oil I ever experienced.

The 29'er has a 9' wide beam. The 27'er is 8'6".

Ok first thing this is a Thought ! , ...a dream ... and idea .. Yamaha could venture off into the Sea Ray 32 sundancer and cabin cruiser arena and probably wreck some shop!... they could not only target the day boater and family outings , but the familiy that might want to spend longer overnights ect . especially the couple only who may want to bang all night on the water lol .... ANYHOW heres my concept idea - 30ft length , larger beam and draft .. Twin 2.0 - 2.2 L yamaha natural aspirated engines with larger pumps and impellers .. same or similar layout in rear / stern as current 275S Model .. cabin with head and shower and small kitchen down below with and medium half sunken style bow up top enough for seating similar to current 275s bow a walk on skylight imbedded in bow alley seating area .. and an electronic anchor as well .... with a 125 Gallon fuel tank ... .. what else should i add ?

thoughts ? ... could they pull this off ? ....
I like it. Offer interior quality ranging from SX/AR level to SE/SD level to keep the entry price point well below Sea Ray and other cabin cruisers.

There are 70-100+ft yachts (Azimut for example) with jet drives, so "too big for jet drive" isn't really an issue. The issue is whether Yamaha would want to make the jump to a larger engine, pump, impeller, etc. They currently don't offer anything that isn't already in their waverunners, unless you want an outboard.

One thing that you said that I think Yamaha should really take note of is your anchor comment. I'm kind of surprised that there's no windlass option available on the 27ft boats.

While I love my 21 foot Yamaha boat its far from a High quality luxury boat. Once you get to the $100k and up market Im sorry but Yamaha does not even come close.
