That video is very limited in scope so I think it’s hard pressed to say that these boat parades are getting out of hand. For all we know the guy forgot to put his drain plug back in before launching.

I think the rioting is a MUCH bigger problem. You don’t see these boaters stopping to loot business do ya?

I only wish one would be organized by me because I’d be attending it. ?

You're kidding right? Comparing this to rioting? That many boats in a small area CLEARLY running large wakes in (what and I'm assuming here is) a no wake zone creating a clear danger, all to celebrate, or show support, for a political candidate?

What in the exact fuck?
 
Looks like there were plenty of boats there to rescue them. Would suck to have planned a quiet day on the river not knowing this was going to happen. I wonder if these events require a permit and any sort of notification?

That can't have been a no wake zone....parades have to follow wake rules.

Agreed. The actions are the issue here, not the intended support/cause.

Same for rioting if we're keeping track though.
 
We were just in the Clearwater parade with over 2,000 boats. While chop was bad it was manageable. There is no way boat wakes took down that boat, something else had to have happened. Given the fact they were half way in the water and still didn't have life jackets on, I question how good of boaters they really are.

You are assuming it’s a no wake zone. Don’t go getting your pantyhose in a knot over not knowing all the details. Geez, that seems to be happening a lot these days.

That’s probably no different than many other popular boat hot spots. TONS of boats making waves.

You are right......we need to start Banning 4th of July boat parades too, let this be a lesson to everyone before its too late:)

Let’s see....casualty of Trump boat Parades (one questionable boat sinking which we do not know the cause of). And there have been numerous boat parades across the country.......

Nightly riots across the country. Dozens killed, hundreds of millions (maybe billions) in property damage.......just wondering if you have a link to the thread you started about the riots?

Just as the riots have been spun as “mostly peaceful” protests.......
 
That boat has got to be between 30-40' long? Based on the size of the guys on it?

New caption - "Boat owners sink boat for insurance money in an effort to pay MSRP +++ on purchase of new boat" :)
 
Looks like the every weekend wakes on Lake Mead. Not sure how I do it each weekend without dying. I guess the wakes I encounter were created by Trump and Biden supporters. Equal opportunity wakes which make them easier to navigate.

Also funny how the video was cut (even though the original captured probably the entire incident) to fit the narrative.
 
I'd agree the combined wash is ugly, I wouldn't want to run mine in it. Probably would be fine if it was better organized, spaced out, etc. but I am not sure how well these things are organized. Seems pretty loosely done to me. "Hey all, show up and bring your flags!"
 
They did choose a rather foolish speed to run 100 boats side by side on a fairly narrow river.

That boat could have easily taken a wave over the stern and sunk from some of those larger boats. Scary how fast it sinks.
 
1) That's a BS headline. I saw a low-freeboard boat get sunk because of wakes (maybe?), not "evil orange man cult intentionally sinking a boat."
2) Boat sank from the back - so who knows, forgot plug? Again, no mention of actual cause of this boat going down, only that it happened while parade was going on.
3) I saw the trump parade people coming to the rescue. Weird how the headline didn't mention that?

Disclaimer, I'm not pro any one political sports team. F them all. And also, F all the BS media.
 
I was riding my wave runner had no idea that a Trump parade was that day got caught at the end of the lake where all the boats turned around and went full throttle. I was scared as hell lol. Was like I was in the ocean in a storm I did get completely blasted by a wave that was higher than me sitting on the ski. Don’t care what the parade was for that was nuts.

I have a funny feeling were going to see a lot more of this in the next year or two... When all these new boaters get sick and tired of their payments and the market is too flooded with used boats. "2022: Year of the boat insurance claims"
