Towing Question

This summer I had a tower speaker fall off while towing. I know where it happened. Just south of downtown Cadot, WI at the bridge. That's where we hit a big bump unexpectedly. Didn't notice though until we got back to the cabin in Augusta.

Anyone have an idea on what kind to replace with? Budget minded of course...

On the MFI trailers (not so sure about the Shorelaner) there is wiggle in the bow stop. In my case, I can get the boat as tight to the bow stop as I can, cinch up the transom straps, and once that bow stop shifts, the boat will be loose again. There's lots of posts out there about welding the bow stop to stop this wiggle.

For me, part of my standard procedure is make sure the bow stop and transom straps are tight at the top of the launch. Then before leaving the parking lot at a speed of no more than 10MPH, I do a hard stop. This stop makes the boat slide forward on the trailer. I then go back and tighten the transom straps and winch (all three will be loose). Once I do this though, that boat and trailer are one unit and it doesn't move.
