Bought my 232 limited s and the trailer brakes were completely rusted out...everything else was good on the trailer so I went out and picked up the full UFP replacement kit...GREAT, I had a guy all lined up to come fix...GREAT, he got hurt and is out of commission for a couple weeks...NOT GREAT.

I called up another trailer guy and he refused to install my UFP kit referring to UFP as a "substandard product, that he wont be responsible for"...he was kind of a dick...I am at wits end...might just give it a go myself...Really want to just pay someone for it and get it squared away...I NEED BRAKES...
Anyone have a good recommendation for a mobile trailer guy in Tampa St. Pete area? HELP!

I could not anyone years ago to come out an redo my trailer brakes and ended up being surprised to find that my one of my local big o tires places would do it. Consider surfing the web for local semi truck repair shops they will do this work all the time you may still have to bring it in but just choose a time when you won't be in heavy traffic and stay off the freeway as much as possible.

check with florida brake and clutch in st pete , I have not had any contact with them for a few years but they were the brake experts for many years

Dropped it at Hitch King in St Pete. They had some pretty good reviews and when I brought it over there the guy seemed like a pretty straight shooter. It seems like they may be having some trouble getting the actuator off/on...something about a swivel nut just past the break in the folding neck. I already told him to cut the old lines and abandon since I have the new thermo plastic ones. Curious to see how much they try and charge me in labor...
