Trailer Guides for a 2010 AR240

@Ronnie Thanks a bunch. I will definitely look into the boat buddy. I see a lot of vendors offering the boat buddy like Cabela , Kodiak etc. Which one is recommended ?

The boat buddy II is what I use, it supposed to be for boats in our length and weight. There are other products out there, the ramp n clamp is what I'd go for next if my boat buddy's cover breaks again. I'm on my second or third one now as they will crack if hit the wrong way by the boat. Cost to replace the cover only is about $35. If the pin bends the unit is pretty much toast but it's about one third the cost of the ramp n clamp. The red snapper, if it is still available, is close to $500 but it comes with a wireless remote to engage and disengage the pin. Not worth it in my opinion. Truth be told you don't really need any of these things but they can be helpful especially when solo boating at the same time you still have to get the trailer in the right position to use these devices correctly.

bought a boat buddy II

@Julian. Will I be able to purchase the longer guide posts in Lowes or Home Depot ?

The longer U Bolts? I didn't look for them there....but you might be able to. Not sure about the ones that cross each other. I just bought the 4 online in the kit. This looks like it would work....but only for 2 of the 4 you need (you seek 6" in reality)

Verify that you have a shore lander before going to the hardware store for some galvanized or SS nuts and bolts. If you have a 2010 boat of bet you have an mfi trailer.
