Tullytown Cove, PA

I put in at Neshaminy Marina 3 or 4 times. Every time I've had debris to pull out of the impeller. Sharpie markers, lighters, drink straws, branches etc. The river is not always this bad but this year we've gotten a lot of heavy storms and it's been bad. The area down by the PA side near SugerHouse casino and Dave & Busters is the worst.

Running out of time for this Yamaha day at the cove or sandbar...

Had an event on the 7th but it was open to all, wasn't just yamaha... Summer is going by fast!

Almost all the rivers in the tri-state area have been a mess. Schuylkill River, Susquehanna River, Delaware River, and upper Chesapeake Bay are all unusable. Blue Marsh Lake is closed until further notice.

We were up at Beltzville Lake this past weekend and even it was covered in debris.

Yeah, we were gonna run up to the sandbar yesterday afternoon, but didn't feel like doing 20 miles of dodge the debris. Just hung out on the beach north of the rancocas.

3BE3262F-E5EF-486F-AC0F-D19536C19553.jpeg We were out Saturday for Burlington’s Festival of Lights, wasn’t too bad, guess it depends on tide. We almost didn’t go because of everyone saying how bad it’s been... but it turned out to be a great night

It was crappy tonight out of Neshaminy till you go to around state road area heading south. Then it was decently clear. Launch ramp at neshaminy was surprisingly clean.

Beltzville has been pretty clean all season, but I was driving out to Raystown Lake Friday night and from Allentown to Harrisburg were really heavy downpours. That's why Beltzville was bad this past weekend. Some of the heaviest rain I've ever driven in.

We were planning to go to Blue marsh lake on Sunday after going to the Carlisle truck show on Saturday... Blue marsh was closed due to the high water levels. Numerous flooded areas in the greater Lancaster area also. And California would give nearly anything for some rain and relief for the wild fires. Its crazy...

We've been boating on Beltzville for well over 20 yrs and this was maybe the second time I can remember it getting like that

Anyone out for fireworks in penns Landing tonight? Little windy but otherwise a nice night!

Anybody down for a cruise down the Delaware to the C&D canal and on down into the Chesapeake sometime this summer?

Been following a lot of posts and wanted to say hello finally! I wanted to do that last summer ('18) when I got my new to me '14 sx190. Wanted to find a house or something to rent on the MD side like others do, so will look a little more seriously this year. We usually run around either OCMD or have started to go to Lake Wallenpaupack since the purchase. Besides debris, are there any problem areas south of Tullytown that you should watch for if you are new to the Delaware? I assume you can cruise from there to the bay without an issue but haven't driven a boat on that part of the river. About how long would it take to get from Neshaminy to C&D and would you recommend it? Looking forward to meeting some of you this coming boating season.

Welcome!
Just follow your channel markers all the way down, you’ll see the c@d canal wall sticking way out. Do a wide right turn into the canal to avoid hitting the wall that is submerged.
Takes me about 2 hours not even in my 24 footer. Generally stop half way just to chill out.
It’s a great run and I love the Chesapeake inn!!
You’re welcome to follow me down any time. Good luck!

I'm dying for summer. A C&D run down to Chesapeake for the night is on my to-do list for this summer. Seems like it would be fun.

@Water Girl , do you have to time tides to fit under low bridges to make it south to c&d or is it a clear shot to the Chesapeake?

Its a clear shot but running down with the tide helps with fuel. I plan to head down at least a couple of times this summer, we should do a group run.

River was calm and flat yesterday afternoon. Ramp had a good amount of debris. Just went out quick to do a little shakedown with a newer engine..
