There is a hole in the pump housing that yamaha seems to have plugged by putting a hot M6 bolt into some sort of plastic sleeve to seal it up? The only thing I can think of is that it could be used on the PWC's to shoot a rooster tail into the air?

I noticed the bolt in mine was loose when I was changing my impeller so I ended up tapping the hole and threading in an M8X1.25 bolt

Correct, that is the plug/fitting that will spurt water in the air out behind a jetski, roostertail. It gets plugged for the boats.

I plug them on jet skies also, really annoying idea

Thanks for confirming gents.

I suppose it would not have been cost effective to install a real bolt but what a dumb way to plug the hole.
