Hold that thought, I have a feeling that by the time it's time to fuel the jet(s) again we will all be paying a lot more for gas. If it stays under $3 per gallon I'd be happy.
On a semi related note, I'm scratching my head over fueling up the Chevy Avalanche yesterday. I have a 29 gallon capacity the gauge read 1/4 of a tank but I still put in 28.5 gallons. Thankfully it was under $70, when prices are high I hit the $100 limit and have to slide my card, etc. again.

LOL! the $100 limit is soooo 2000ish! Every once and a while I run into a store with a $150 limit.

Lol....The Stop and Rob by my house still has a $50.00 limit!

Saw 3.01 for Diesel here, currently 2.19 for regular. All of the pumps here have a $100 limit. It really pissed me off when diesel was close to 4/gal. Got used to refilling at just under a half tank to keep to a single card swipe per fill.

From one of my BESTEST friends ............ In Boiling Springs, SC (1/2 way betweern Greenville and Spartanburg) today:

Specifically: 200 Peachwood Centre Dr, near Franklin Ave., Spartanburg, S.C.
Sam's Club - December 24, 2015 =
$ 1.79 a gallon !!!!!!

Diesel $3.05 xmas. Was 3.09 xmas eve same station.

$5.15 was the highest i recall. With a 35 gallon tank i'd have to use 2 cards for a fill

It is $1.85 a gallon on I-35E in Corinth at the Circle K. I was wondering what it might be at a local Sams or Walmart with the gift card. I bought propane in a 600 gallon tank for the house in 2001, the last time I bought it, for around $0.50/gallon. It is hovering just over $0.50 right now and my tank is less than 25% full. Obviously we don't use much, it is for the cooktop and bbq. Our house is geothermal and water is heated with that but electric backup. I was thinking of putting in gas logs which would be propane, and then would buy some knowing I will use more. But I don't think I would fill back to 70% on the tank, just maybe fill to 50%? What would any of you do with that? I figure I will probably sell the house before I am here another 13 years.

Your propane is $.50?????? I just filled my place at $2.29. What am i missing here???

1.85 is awesome. I bought my gasser dodge in feb 2000. I clearly remember doing math at the MPG based on $1.26/gal to see if i could afford the thing........

Get the gas logs. They're awesome.easy.and clean... I'm about to install an outdoor firepit to compliment the grill area. Our only gas use is fireplace and barbq. We use very little

To be honest @justason , I just googled the propane price...I may get a big surprise when I call them! That was what google showed historically from when we built the house to now. It was only cheaper than 01 once and that was in 03, but it was down to $0.50 last week and at $0.55 right now on that list for north texas prices. I was curious. I know I don't need to fill a 600 gallon tank, I will never use it. But it is a good time to buy! If I could only store unleaded gas in it! lol

I cant get my head around this. The country runs within a quarter or three on any fuel (republic of CA may be exception). But $0.55. Half a buck?......fill it to the brim. The apocolyse is coming

Awesome data point. FOB. freight on board. Is this from the well head or distributor? The price is amazing.... Never heard the term "spot" before

$1.95 in central NJ. Will be heading back to NC on Monday and will be topping off for sure.

Where were these prices during the summer. I could have saved hundreds in boating fuel.

1.98 in Sioux city IA. First time in a LONG time I've seen under 2 bucks.

Back in the late 80's and early 90's I remember people complaining about the price of gas at the local Boron full service. At that time I remember pumping gas at the full service pump for around $1.25 and self service was $1.15 or a few pennies under.

Since I'm reminiscing about my high school job..... I pumped gas for Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr when they first came to this country. They lived close by and came into the station every couple of weeks. They didn't talk much at that point because of the language barrier but were very friendly and easy going. I should have saved their signed carbon credit slips!!

Historically in the SF Bay Area we haven't paid less than $2 per gallon for regular unleaded since about 2003. I graduated high school in the mid 80s and remember that it was about that time that the price first exceeded $1 per gallon. The only thing I can think of other than some choice real estate that increased more in price since is cigarettes. I don't smoke but have friends that do, back in the late 80s they were $1 a pack now that same pack is $6.

On the propane side I don't know what it costs per gallon because I only buy a small tank of it for my backyard BBQ. I think its a 5 gallon tank. Anyway, it's always been $20 for a full tank at lowes (home improvement similar to Home Depot) plus $50 for the tank itself if you don't have one to exchange. Even if the price is lower Now I don't think it would be worth the effort to get a full tank.

Wow! $1.77 at Circle K and QT in Lake Dallas. I'm amazed.

Yep

Still dropping. $1.67 at Circle K in Lake Dallas!
