Looking for someone to bounce questions off on a vibration in the left throttle of my Yamaha AR210, heard it might be a bad impellor?

Might have something stuck you can get to thru out plug. Most of the time in my boat it’s something little causing the cavitation and I put the boat in reverse for a second or two then jam it in forward and the junk blows out and it’s good to go. Reverse to forward and back a few times normally gets out what I have but I have had to dig out a bunch of pine needles a few times and other stuff out of clean out plugs manually. Best of luck.

I have done everything as far as pulling out some weeds in the shaft under the boat, but I think something else is going on.

Maybe you are talking about another area that might be plugged, pine needles would not be in the area I cleaned the weeds from. Plus about a year ago my son sucked up the tow rope and I had to cut it out, so it may have damaged something that I am not looking at?

When you say clean out plug are you talking about the 2 things I lock in from the top of the boat?

Vibration in the throttle is probably a low gate
Vibration in the engine when you throttle up is something in the impeller.

Maybe a low gate on one nozzle.

Ok, so I cleaned off all the stuff I sucked up from the access area under the boat, it is just a shaft that had weeds around it and one time last year my son sucked up the tow rope in the same area, is there somewhere else I should be looking?

Can you clarify that the throttle lever at the binnacle is what is vibrating?

I guess I don't know as much as all the people responding. I am talking about there is 2 throttles, 1 for the left engine and 1 for the right engine. When I increase the RMP's the left throttle that I am pushing forward starts to vibrate or shakes pretty bad. I have sucked up a few things on that side including a tow rope that was wrapped pretty tight and I had to cut it out from the intake area under the boat. Something else I should be looking at?

With the boat on the trailer and the engines off, push the throttles forward until they are just ready to start pulling the cables that would increase engine speed. Look at the gates over the nozzles. Make sure the gates are clear of the nozzle opening. If the throttle lever is vibrating this is usually the issue.

In neutral, the gates should be even with just a little of the opening showing.

I think I am confused, what are the gates and nozzle openings? The only thing I have found was I can access the intake area under the boat, I think this is the same are the plugs cover from the top of the boat and there is only a shaft in that area. Should I be looking behind the boat?

Is it something in this diagram?

Part #32 is the gate and part # 29 is the nozzle. When you look at the back of your boat under the swim platform, these are what you see. 32 is the gate and it is black plastic, 29 is the nozzle and it is inside the gate. The clearance between the gate and the nozzle at various throttle positions is what @McMark is talking about

I’m working so that’s why the shorter answers.

This is an example of too low. This will rattle the throttle lever. Should be above the nozzle a little.

I got it.... Last question, at what throttle position do I check to see that the gate is not to low and partially covering the nozzle? I do not see anything in this picture that looks like it is black plastic, but what I think I am looking at is this area being to low?

The big piece top center is the gate (when you look at it on your boat, it'll be black plastic) and the big thing with the huge hole is the nozzle. See how the gate is blocking the nozzle just a touch? Top center of nozzle?
If yours is like that when your throttle levers are in the full forward position, could be your problem. You would need to adjust the cable that attaches to the top center of the gate.
