Yamaha Asked Us To Take Down the new 2016 model Info - An Explanation To Our Members

I saw nothing :winkingthumbsup"

Sigh. This is what I get for trying to WORK at work instead of checking JB.net like I do in the summer.... Now I have to wait to see it.

But I've learned MY lesson. No more work at work. It distracts too much from screwing around on the web. ;)

Interesting info regarding Mother Yamaha. Of course we realize they've been watching us, but is this the first time they've really come out and admitted it like this?

They were very polite and very appreciative of our assistance/cooperation. Time will tell how our "relationship" progresses, but they were very upfront about how much they've been watching our forum, and how they keep a very close eye on opinions and perspectives voiced on forums like ours and The Green Hulk (for PWC).

Forums like this one foster brand loyalty and drive sales quite well. They know it and admitted as much on the call.

I think we'll see things progress well....but the "players" on their side can make a big difference....changes in leadership can result in dramatic changes in media/PR and social media strategies.....
I once heard (from a good source) that Mother Yamaha has at least one person full time employee to monitor the forums on a daily basis. That is a job I need to have.

Hell, many of us do that for free! :D:D:D

Typical corporate BS. Scrambling to cover a mistake. If they actually gave a crap they would have made some sort of conciliatory effort in exchange for taking the information down. I'm sure they don't give a rat's ass about this forum as in the scheme of their sales numbers, we are a statistically insignificant event.
Haha! I love this guy! Anyone who can juxtapose two phrases like "rats ass" with "statistically insignificant" while venting pure Americana consumer angst against a massive corporate entity gets my vote for forum mouthpiece!!

Seriously though, maybe some good will come of a relationship between this forum and Yamaha....it seems of mutual benefit to both.....but at the end of the day the bottom line will drive all decision making.

But just in case, hey Yamaha, great boats!

The hypes gathering.....

Looks like a David Copperfield prop for a magic show!!!! :)

There is something sexy under that cover, but I doubt it's a blonde.

Just to be clear.....I didn't Google it under Google images and see a picture of it just now.
:devilhorns:

So if any of us like the boat that shows up tomorrow given that we haven't seen it up to this point, how soon are they usually made available? If it is at the boat show, is it already in production?

I think this is actually a 2016 model and they are just introducing it now,

I hope it's a flying jet boat with laser beams

I am still pulling for the cruiser... :D

That would be one heck of a rocket ship!!
