Those of us who know Lee know that he works very hard to provide for his young family. He is in the masonry business so physical labor provides for his income. Eight days ago he suffered a stroke on his 34th birthday. He is recovering well but will be off work for several months.

His family has established a YouCaring account at https://www.youcaring.com/leecolvin-796778. I was privileged to be able to be the first to contribute. I hope that we, his boating friends, will be able to help to relieve some of the stress that I am sure he must be under.

You can read about his time in the hospital in this thread - https://jetboaters.net/threads/speedling-in-hospital.12850/

Donated!

I wasn't first, but I was N+1! :) Encourage everyone to help out...

What a beautiful family and may I say that Lee's wife needs a contract with a major toothpaste company.... what a perfect smile!

Is 100% of the donation pushed through or is there fees taken by the website?

You can donate to the website if you want to, the rest goes 100% to them.

Count me in! I am the same age and that is a rough situation. Our family is wishing you and yours the best.

The goal is $10K, which is nothing for a great organization like the Jetboaters.net forum.
1680 members strong... $6 from each member is all it would take.

@Bruce Thank you for doing this!

Was a no brainer and I was proud to see how our membership is helping out another member in such a great way. The folk at jetboaters.net rock!

This site is free to use thanks to the time and monetary contributions of just a few members (who have also contributed to this effort). The least we can do pitch in for an active and well known member in need.

Godspeed for your recovery @Speedling

Done! Glad to help.

@Speedling Happy to donate to such a wonderful young family and a fantastic example of a good husband and father. And thank you for the kind words directed towards your caregivers - my wife is a nurse and I hear way more stories about douche bags expecting their care to be like staying in the Ritz with a dedicated servant!
