Zillow.com saved me thousands's BIG TIME

So my wife and I discovered the Zillow feature called "make me move". Enter your info, enter the price you're targeting, upload, wait. We were always very confident our place would sell without the cost impact of a real estate broker, well, this tool nailed it for us...

We posted our info on a Friday about 3:30 pm. By the time we got home from work we had 38 views and 2 calls. Saturday noon we had registered 200+ views and 4 inquiries. Sunday morning the first inquiry stopped over for a tour.....BOOM, offer made/accepted $3k below asking price !

Our neighborhood is very VERY unique for its location. The houses sit on 2-3 acre lots, close to everything, surrounded by neighborhoods that are the more common 1/4 acre lot or so....oasis!

Now the fun part: So we have to move, kinda unexpectedly, and have no idea where to go......welp...after a few beers I thought to myself. The buyers contingency reads "must sell their house".....so I called them, made them an offer $3k below asking.......BOOM....HOUSE SWAP...

moving should be interesting since neither of us have an empty house to move into !!

more fun: I'm hoping that when all is $ettled it'll be BOAT GARAGE TIME!!

O HELL NO !!! never sell the bunker !!!! that's where the detached garage is targeted for.

Brooke still has 1.5 years in school here so we need to stay local in the county. After that we'll probably be moving to the lake and this house become a rental income.....or bordello...need to check the HOA on the latter. Poor dog....Loki the enforcer is going from a 3 acre enforcement zone to a 1/4 acre...and leashed......she's going to chew a hole in my throat while I sleep !

Dang where was this a month ago I just listed my lake house with a real estate agent but felt the same way I could price it a whole lot better with out an agent. That 6% is a kick in the butt.

About to sell mine, also refuse to use a realtor .. Not worth it for seller. I'm aware of other options, but good to know Zillow is another one, I will probably use it thanks!
