this is an old-ish post now, but I think that's the newer cards with RFID chips, that can be scanned with a scanner, they're easy-ER? to compromise.

How to turn that into usable info... I have better legal things to do with my time and efforts.

If criminals spent as much time and effort on legit things as they do on trying to screw everyone else, they'd be brazillionaires

Credit card companies could wipe away the billions in fraud by using a very common and simple security method.....biometrics. Every credit card POS machine and your computer would have a fingerprint scanner. Of course, you would still have an option to override with a super secret pin code if needed.
