Found a little oil and loose nut on floor under engine. Hope the oil was just spilled from dealer doing oil change. But the loose nut is concerning me. Any idea where this might belong? 2020 AR195

That nut looks a little too rusty for a 2020 but maybe it’s my screen making it look that way.

Just my guess that it came off a tool the shop was using?

Looks like an acorn nut…Used to cover exposed threads as decorative, or for securing fasteners in an environment where safety is an issue. I doubt it came from under the engine. Look around for other acorn nuts in the engine bay. It looks like an avorn nut to me, hard to tell.

Yeah it is an acorn nut.

I think all the nuts and bolts on the engine are metric.

Not sure of your boat style, could it have been to cover the zerk fitting on your intermediate bearing ???

thanks everyone. don't think it belongs to the engine
