It's ski season

Our season is over, our resort was open for the last day today but didn't feel like skiing on mashed potatoes. Here's my season totals, don't pay attention to the max speed it was obviously a glitch. We ski a small resort with only about 500' vertical.

All done with ski season. Wish I could post season totals like posted above. Ski track and my phone has not been successful. Maybe next year.. I did get 24 days of skiing. Roughly 10k + miles driven
Est 240k + vertical feet.

Heading back to breck Thursday to Monday for one more go at it for the season
That's awesome, could you report how the snow is. We went last weekend again and are going back most likely next weekend.

Last weekend it was crunchy up top in the am with the refreeze and slushy at the bottom. Great spring skiing though.

Sorry didn't check the site, conditions were perfect. Any rain they forecasted was snow on the mountain. Keystone and Vail were closed so we stuck around Breck and A-Basin. Ill throw some pictures up

Killington made it to June 2nd with the 2019 season. It has been a cool Spring. Might want to use your rock skis though.

first major snow

We just got back from Breck for some great skiing, except Saturday where It was extremely cold and windy. So much wind that they had hardly any lifts spinning Saturday. We leave in the AM for Monarch. 4 days of work and 8 days of skiing . We will get 60 days of skiing this season.

@djetok , what a lift ticket for a day at Breckinridge cost? I heard it was $300 a few years ago but did not believe it.

Don't think it's that much. We went to Breck 5 years ago and it as like $130 or $140. I can't remember.

$180 last year, we got epic passes and were able to get discounted tickets for friends without the epic pass for $140.

Gonna be a questionable ski season for this guy. Having knee scoped for meniscus tear next Wednesday. Hopefully can swing a golf club by end of January and maybe get some runs in by February

Its 180s I believe. This is our 3 rd season with our epic local pass (local is cheaper with less resorts but we get select days at other resorts too resorts) plus we can come to monarch for like 50 per day.

Here now , pics from the drive in on 69 from walsenburg off 25. I never get tired of the view. We would buy property here but we are still 100 miles away

On the mountain across the Arkansas river at downtown salida for dinner.

Speaking dinner, besides the mountain. The town is awesome. We enjoy breck but it just too expensive to retire too. We just had steak and sides and two drinks for 63 dollars. Compared to breck where last Saturday we had to breakfast (big) burritos and 2 drinks for 55 dollars.

Get run over at a game?

$180s sounds more realistic, about the same at heavenly in South Lake Tahoe. We ate two slices of pizza ($12 per) a cookie and two bottles of soda for $55ish once.

For the unfamiliar: if you think trailer boating is tough and expensive. Be forewarned regarding snow sports, especially if you don’t live near a resort. Driving 100+ miles through snow, early in the morning, like 5a, to get the most out of the business hours on the slopes (9a to 4p) for $180 ($25 per hour), before fuel and food. Yeah it’s like that! Skiers are different breed.

I’m sorry and not so sorry that my snow sport (snow boarding) days are over now that my son can drive or ride the ski bus and I’m not as young as I used to be. It doesn’t help that my wife gave it up soon after she dislocated and broke her shoulder. I know right! Woman up, grow some ... just kidding.

Looks like a better deal if you purchase online in advance.
