Lake Murray Floating Cabins - Ardmore, OK - June 5-7th 2015

I believe that two cabins were unavailable due to low water but should be available now since the lake is full.

Who's up for meeting for pizza Friday night at Papas Pizzeria in Ardmore? It's about 10 minutes from the campsite.
Liz and I are planning to eat there at 7pm. Let me know who else is interested and we'll reserve enough seats.

We checked in on Monday and have had a great time so far. The villa is very nice.

Don't plan to check in early, not even 10 minutes, don't plan on putting your boat at your dock before 3pm, they are very strict about it (but you can probably tie up at our place for an hour if needed). They were working on the sewer pump when we checked in and wouldn't even let me kill time moving the boat over while they fixed it.

Don't expect to bring you trailer within 100 yards of your cabin. If you only have one vehicle you can drop your trailer in the lodge parking lot and then drive down to unload.

I'll try to leave Friday after 3pm open to help anybody shuttle vehicles.

I put in at the marina and just left my truck and trailer there since my wife brought her van. Tipp's point looks good but I don't see anybody or their trailers there so I felt safer leaving it at the marina parking lot. Gas is 3.79 at the marina ( I put 30 gallons in today!) and the ramp is very shallow, I had to pull in about half way up my rear tires were normally they are right at the water line.

Not many mosquitoes, I'm sitting on the porch right now in darkness although my wife already went in.

What villa are you in @Scottintexas , the middle or south? We are in the north villa when we get there. The rules as I said in my original posts were pretty tight, but I guess that keeps anyone from disturbing you. I was hoping to get the boat in the water and to the cabin, but I had forgotten that 3pm was check-in time. I will show up in time to get the boat in the water before Clara gets off work. But I am not sure on the logistics that I mentioned earlier. So if you or anyone else can bring the truck back that would be great. Maybe it is best to check in, then launch the boat, and have you, @PEARCE , or @Jebinok , bring the truck/trailer back to the lodge parking lot. After I tie the boat up, I can drop the trailer there at either the lodge parking lot or in the trailer area just up from the floating cabin office. Then get unpacked.

I don't think we will go out to eat Friday night. We are just going to stay and enjoy our cabin and grill out. All subject to change of course!

@maboat, At this point, we are planning on hanging at the cabins for dinner on Friday night.

@maboat I'm with Christy at this point too and planning on dinner at the cabin and hanging out on the water and relaxing with an adult beverage.

I think we are gonna chill also @maboat thanks for the invite. After you eat you should find the everyone and provide the tunes and the light show! I hope @BravoMike likes a little music and adult bevs, since we are neighbors, Im in Pod 7. I am really excited to see old members and meet new ones. @txav8r needs to update members and location, so i wont insult anyone calling them the wrong name. I will try to put screen names with actual names, that will be a chore also. Lets have fun everyone and be safe going to and fro. I want to see you all.

Night Ride!

View media item 2409LOL...Detonate's Walmart foot!

For reference....at one of the Yamaha gatherings at Lake Texoma (in 2011, I think) we decided to go on a "Night Ride" and hit a sandbar and got beached. In the commotion, Jim lost one flip flop and had to walk around like that the rest of the night.

Hate to disappoint you @Jebinok , but Bob aka. Bravo Mike can't make it.

@PEARCE you are correct, I had forgotten that. So has anyone reserved 8?

I don't see or read any updates on what we have, except that Bob isn't coming and Scott took his place and traded it in on a villa, I don't yet know what villa @Scottintexas is in. I will remove Bob from the list.

The prep begins...oil change, wash, detail, vacuum and wash carpets, and get equipment back in boat.

i think we will go up a day earlier my pod is open for Thursday night, Of course i have to check with the boss. I will get back later

We are in Pod #10 only...Our friends aren't coming.

Update we will arrive friday about noon, no, the boss said yes but that would mess up some other plans we have. So I decided to stick to our original plan. So, with that said @txav8r, @maboat ,@PEARCE If you guys dont believe me you can just ask her!!!! LOL

Regarding pizza night: I'm not locked into Friday for Pizza. I think Liz was trying to pattern it off last year's meet at the Grateful Head Pizza in Broken Bow. Either way, we will check into the cabin first and have the boat in the water before dinner.

Y'all are making me sad with all of these updates about the awesome weekend you are going to have!!

We are thinking about coming down Saturday and spending the day on the lake. Hopefully we will run into some of you guys. Looks like the weather will be awesome!
