Need help with cavitation on Yamaha VX Cruiser

Since nobody else replied yet, I'll give my uninformed opinion from reading previous posts,
I wouldn't replace the wear ring unless you saw damage or just had time to kill and wanted to do an upgrade,

We don't see damaged wear rings very often, I'd try the new impeller first and if you still had issues move onto the wear ring, he already knows how to take it all apart so it will be even simpler to do pull the shaft/impeller again,
