new toys for the garage.... cars or anything

Got a new toy for the garage we are getting ready to build, which in turn is why we have to have one this size so we can live in it while we are building the garage/house........:eek::eek::confused::confused::confused:

20180816_093526.jpg 20180816_093553.jpg Added another toy or replaced one . I was driving the 96 cobra around and guy walked up and offered me more money than I could refuse. I was going to buy a fusion sport 325 hp all wheel drive. That is until I happened on the MKZ (same platform) 400 hp(crank hp) all wheel drive. I ordered the Livernois tune that adds another 50 + hp to the wheels. I did 4.9 on a buddies vbox

I forgot to post a couple pics of the completed cobra. My next project will be a father son project on a Nissan s15

Bring the checkbook if you want to play at copart. I attempted to bid once. I had to find a broker. It's a bit shady if you are not an expert. Even when it's "done" they go to after bidding. That car will probably go for 30k+. The burned up mustang ('13 roush) i was looking at went for 13k. It was totaled in the back and side but i just wanted the engine.

Probably a bit different out there, I've bought lots of cars off copart. PaulyB has bought a few things as well already. Plenty of good deals on there.

I have no idea why its on there, I am contemplating driving down next week to check it out if I can fit it into my schedule. Maybe it was stolen? but there is no record of it, it is being sold with a clear title and to run an drive. You only need to use a broker in certain states, but after $3500 is pays to use a broker anyway, because Copart charges a fee that goes up in price depending on the sale price to the general public. Brokers have a flat fee that is capped at $600 if I remember correctly.

This is my "go really fast from here to there" toy!

Any of you sn95 guys interested in true SVO side skirts with the Borla side exhaust?

I just bought a 2001 wrangler TJ from a guy from work. Bought cheap but needs some rehab. 76k miles 1 owner. Usual frame rust but I can fix it no problem. Mostly tacked in at the moment. If it ends up hanging around a few years I’ll look for a rust free frame and swap it out.

Exactly why I brought my latest truck up to IL from TX.

The price was right and $600 plus my time and I’ve got a solid vehicle. Low rust or rust free is just not cost effective in a wrangler.

Well , I traded again. I have been a habitual truck owner for a long time. I purchased the BMW x2 M35i in June of 2020, it meet the purpose at the time. It was quick, agile and fit a 6 foot ladder in the back. I gave the Lincoln to my daughter, so I have been driving the BWM exclusively. Well it just turned 20k on the odo with a little over 7 months of ownership. So my 14 yo son and I went looking yesterday. We both wanted to look at a velocity blue mustang. Me being 50, I found a car 57 miles away that fit my criteria. It was a fully loaded Mustang GT Premium with every option , except Performance pack. We drove it and it was way slower than the BMW. When looking I did not think to look at the axle ratio, 3.15. Between this and most likely 87 octane fuel, it was slow. My son was disappointed, as was I . Then we drove a performance pack car with the 10 spd and 3.55 torsion axle. What a huge difference, I went from to disappointment to a huge smile. I was not so confident , so we did not drive the 60 miles to the performance pack blue. We ended up at the BWM dealership where they had a super low mileage 2019 with performance pack on it, plus the 1600 borla cat back that I was going to put on it anyways.

One happy kid, he was excited with the mini M car. He virtually slept in this one last night. I had to wake him up a 6:45 am to ask him where my key was.
