Relocating to year around better weather

I said that half tongue-in-cheek but I’m definitely interested in helping you if you decide to make this your new home.
Much appreciated.. when we get a more specific time frame nailed down I’ll give you a shout..

I'll jump in here with another suggestion if you're headed down to southern NV. We decided to settle in Laughlin, NV, about halfway between Las Vegas and Lake Havasu (about a one hour drive either way). Housing costs and chaos factor in Las Vegas were too high and Lake Havasu housing costs were also way beyond our budget. We found the Laughlin/Bullhead City area had about everything we needed for day to day living with Vegas close by for anything we required from a metropolitan city. Housing costs are very reasonable; new and preowned homes are available. Cost of living here could be the among lowest in NV and AZ. As for water sports, in addition to Havasu, Lake Mohave and the Colorado River are a 15-20 min drive with Lake Mead maybe an hour and half. We are already out on the lakes with temps now in the low 80s. Yes, it will be a few weeks before we get into the water but a least we already enjoying our boat now. Plenty of entertainment here year around at the casinos. We don't gamble but do enjoy the top artists in smaller venues at great prices. This area is not for everyone but if you like hot, dry summers and mild, dry winters with sunshine better than 300 days a year, it might be worth a look.

Very much appreciate your suggestion and hadn’t even considered Laughlin. I will check into Zillow and see what job opportunities are available in that area.. 80’s in April is something I look forward too..

Absolutely...?

They passed that law I was referring to, as to the transfer of out of state occupational licenses, this week here in AZ. Just fyi.

I’m in Flagstaff which is about an hour and a half north of Phoenix. It’s up in the mountains. We’re at about 7,000 ft. in elevation. We have a cooler climate than Phoenix with 4 seasons. We actually get a lot of snow. Our average annual accumulation is the 4th most in the country for a cities with a metro population of 50,000 or more. The nice thing about snow here is that it melts in a week or less after it snows.

Hi neighbor ” Rumbo” I’m down in Havasu, I go to flagg for work quite often, I actually cover a lot of Western to northern az.

Heading to AZ Friday to scout out our future home in Phoenix area..

Good luck @malibu Dan ! We liked the area a lot. Let me know what you find!

There are some surprisingly nice areas within a 45m commute to Phoenix. Make sure you check who the internet provider is and what speeds you can get and that the address you are looking at is serviceable. That is one thing in today’s world some people Over look and are screwed after the fact.

So just an update. Sold the house here in WA. Both the wife and found new jobs in Phoenix. We plan on moving in the next 2 weeks.. we have finalized the paperwork to have our dream home built In Glendale. My only worry will be my commute to Mesa.. thanks to all for their input... wish us luck....

Congrats on the jobs and the move! Hope all goes smoothly.
