Glad you noticed it in time and nothing “major” happened. Bring some cookies next year to the FD!
I gave each truck that showed up to help a bottle of Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel to carry back to their firehouses.

Apparently that Google street view went viral because it’s now blurred out. Sorry for all you that missed the naked guy standing in the door of his car with a 24” long tube sock hanging off his schlong.

I pulled it up after it was blurred but assumed it was some kind of naked shenanigans. Looks like someone crashed through their fence and mailbox too…wild house!

Thanks for the graphic explanation of what we missed 😆

I just saw this on my news feed in my area. Just South of Champlain and Lake George. Don't take your side x sides or even 4-wheelers out on the ice until you have verified ice thickness by drilling test holes first, sad. One man dies after falling through ice on the Great Sacandaga Lake
I don't even take my skinny little ass out on the ice, let alone a wheeled vehicle, until it's been verified by people smarter than me. I lived 20 minutes from Sacandaga for more than 15 years. I don't think it has been anywhere near cold enough there for trustworthy ice this year.

That Owl looks like a compressor stall fixing to happen🫨

I should have added, the crappy century link has been the only option for where I live. I should probably use the F word as much as I use the word hate and I rarely use the word hate, but I will tell you that I fucking hate cable companies, with a religious fervor. Case in point with Century Link, three years ago I called them and they sent out a tech who determined that the cable between the junction box in my house which is a couple hundred feet away needed to be replaced, and the tech said he had written it up for Century Link to replace this cable. This cable is old telephone direct burial cable and it had been damaged not only from the 50 years it’s been in the ground but also from lightning strikes. Fast forward three years the cable still had not been replaced so I called and they sent out another tech and this tech told me that even though Century Link owns the cable they would not replace it because it was too much money. So Century Link was happy to let me keep on paying for 30 megabytes a second when it’s supposed to deliver 60. Rat bastards.

On my hunting trip this year my friend brought a residential Star Link for all of us to use instead of the AT&T hot spot. It was impressive ! Super easy to set up on the roof of my RV. My friend used the app on his phone to tell me how to adjust the transceiver plate, then I duct taped it to the garage AC on my trailer.

We got about 20” of snow on the last evening of the hunting days, as you might be able to see in the pic below the transceiver plate has a built in heater to keep it free from snow. I removed the snow on the roof since I use a Wave 8 ceramic wool propane heater at night and wanted to make sure the vents were clear, you can see that the area around the vent is clear due to the warm air flowing out of it at night, I was concerned the snow would bridge over the vent.

So after I got home and settled I went to Best Buy and bought a kit after using the free Star Link app to determine if the sky was unobstructed enough to use it at my place since there are trees all around.

I’m using the old TV antenna pole to hold the Star Link plate. Sorry don’t have a pic of the plate installed on the pole.

Fiber optic is being installed along the highway near my house but at the rate that work has been proceeding it’s going to be a while before that is up and running. Verizon is going to be putting up a tower not very far and in line of sight of my house, who knows when that will be completed.

I’m so stoked to finally have decent internet at my house in the hills! I’ll be able to connect my Verizon net work extender into the Star Link router and have great cell speed as well now. This solves two of the three things that were not super dyno megabitchen about my place.

Keeps getting better. By far and away the fastest internet service I’ve ever had thanks to Elon Musk!

Well its official!!, closing went smoothly. I took @Babin Farms advice and I'm moving the family south. Now the crappy part, moving everything 7 states to the Sunshine State.
The only rust you will find on cars down here are the ones from up forth, or the ones with hurricane damage. Welcome! I’m about 2hrs or so south of you.

@Thermobrett How about the cars that are frequently driven on the beaches, Daytona, New Smyrna beach etc. Saw plenty of Fla. tagged cars with rust on top of cars and under them. I know the sun beats on them, but salt spray and driving on the water packed sand, maybe getting stuck will rust them if not washed off after. Just my observations from living there in the 80's. IDK, maybe less salt in the ocean now. Lol. Edit: I know you can't drive on New Smyrna anymore.

Why not paint or powder coat yours if you want black? Those are nice wheels.

They are 8.5" rims so the max size is 255/40r19. I want 10" flow formed rims (lighter) so I can mount 285/35r19. They also would have 1" more offset and be flush with the fenders. It's just getting over the price, looking at like $2700 total with tires.

Other option is to put these staggered, 255/40r19 in the front and 285/35r19 in the back. But they're not flow formed and they're heavy like the stock rims. Looking at $1700 with 2 new rear tires.

Painting my originals would probably be like $200 then adding 1/2" wheel spacers with extended studs probably like $1000 total
