Texoma Gathering 2017 July 22nd and Aug 12

Hey all. Just wanted to share @Jebinok birthday is Saturday. I think he is like old.

We'll be up this weekend. The weather is supposed to clear up Saturday afternoon and be nice. If it does we'll be out in the cruiser.

Happy early birthday Jeb!

Happy birthday you old fart!...from one old fart to another!

Good boating to you guys. We are usually Friday and Saturday boaters. Sleep late Sunday and drive home. This Friday was a washout.

Doesn't look good this weekend. Already 4 ft up and muddy.

It's really not bad at all Dan. It doesn't have the typical muddy color after a lot of rain look yet. There's just some tree debris occasionally that you have to watch for and the water temp is in the 70's.

Are you out this weekend? Any islands ?

We're out at Treasure now! Water is lapping at the base of the rock pile. There's not much of North island right now though. 14960083254971821934075.jpg
My stern is 45-50 feet from the sand and I'm chest deep in water and I'm 6'4". The wind is out of the north and it feels great to be sitting on the boat and not sweating at all.

Thanks for the picture.

You bet! Wish y'all were here to hang with! The skies are clearing and it's gonna be a great sunset. 1496010653796313958539.jpg

Planned to be down next week. But the forecast looks like rain.

So the count down is 46 days. Iv only managed 2 outings this year so far, I hope for more before the meet. A lot has been happening around my place with family
Traci and I are ready for some US time, and time with friends on the lake.

2 outings????? Holy cow! I'm finally better at something than Jeb.

Where do you guys typically lunch from the Texas side?
I checked out 2 ramps from the corp of engr., Eisenhower state park, and a couple of random places ( lighthouse resort & RedDuck ramp). And they all made Lake Ray Roberts look like a five start hotel.

Eisenhower state park launch to the island is a fur piece, sort of, unless you like a boat ride, Highport marina is a quick run to the islands. the other two ramps, i have no idea

Thank you @Jebinok
I will try that. The ones I looked were east 289.

You want to go to Highport from Frisco. Its straight up 289 until you get to the lake area then a left into Highport. Nice ramp too.
