The Overhead doors go on next Friday and foam March 1st. Electrics after that.

Wow, looks great Mel.

Cleaned up and put the coach back in the barn until the doors go in.

IMG_0329.JPG That's very nice, I did something similar!!!!IMG_0334.JPG

I dug up and connected conduit, pulled Tye RV barn 2ga wire, and drilled and ran into old boat barn. Just have to dig up and set pedestal outside and adjust where conduit comes up. But the wall mount is in on the old barn now.

What kind of wind load will it take @Jaime ?
I don't remember now because I did it about 6 months ago but I believe is around 100MPH but don't quote me on that.

@txav8r The companies web site gives an 80 mph rating for their Superior grade kits. Most of their other products do not have a wind rating.

Looks good, fun to see the progress step by step.

One question...what's the garage door on the backside going to be used for? With that much of a drop off the back is it just for ventilation and getting air to flow thru?

Oh, but that still hurts to watch...

You guys have caused a little hesitation when I pull into the barn forward with the rear garage door open! I can't imagine the damage should I accidentally drive off the slab! No, the intent wasn't to pull a ferris bueller in Cameron's dads car! It is actually two fold. It is for ventilation when needed along with daylight, but it is also so I can use the dropped as a service porch. I can back out about 8' and the rear engine and transmission will be positioned to sit under the coach for service work vs laying on my back on concrete! It may also facilitate a generator removal if ever needed. So while it may seem illogical, it was planned.

Oh, the garage doors are in, the outside RV pedestal has been moved to its permanent location, and the old barn service panel has been upgraded to a larger panel to accommodate the smaller one used as a sub panel in the new barn. Lots of trenching and wire pulling involved. A few pics!

You need to add a nose and smiling mouth below those windows on the front door when you are done.

Wow. The last time I looked at this thread I was on page 6! Took a while to catch up!

You've got a great, we'll thought out setup there Mel. It should serve you for years to come.

Nice job doing most of it yourself. Usually when people say they built or remodeled they mean they paid someone else to do it. There's an immense feeling of satisfaction from accomplishing something like this yourself. Well done!

Nice barn Mel.
