Just went through the same thing with my girl friend of 12 years. She was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer on October 30th and passed away yesterday. All I can say is cancer sucks.

I am shocked to hear this! I just spoke with him on the phone a few weeks ago and he seemed in good spirits having just come out of the hospital. Mikey was a huge supporter of ours and we spoke on the phone often, even when he'd call me on holidays to ask questions about his boat (that was a little inside joke between me and Mikey). He was always upbeat and a pleasure to talk to! He will be sorely missed!

RIP Mikey! We will be praying for the family to have peace and comfort while they mourn. He will be missed!

Wow! So sad to hear this. Mikey added a unique element to this site. This site is centered around a hobby, but when we loose like this, it puts life into perspective.

@BigN8 good luck to you and your bride in getting through this round of chemo. Cancer as well as getting old sucks! I lost my mom a year and a half ago not to cancer, but to congestive heart. She had cancer many years ago and beat it with surgery and chemo. The congestive heart thing went untreated for too long and as a result caused organ failure. She was only 67.

@Brad_Ct I'm so sorry for your lose. How old was she? Did she smoke?

@PEARCE She was 56 and yes she smoked but was also around a lot chemicals in her trade as a funeral director/mortician.
