We lost a fun Member of our Jet Boating Brother/Sisterhood

Dang this sucks! Like others I've been away from this site and had no idea. I only learned of his passing because someone posted in the hydro fins thread to lay rest on his soul. Searched and found this thread and I'm sitting here saddened by his loss. Mikey reached out to me privately last year or maybe the year before my surgery. He was putting me in touch with some great people (Randy) at Wedowee Marine when I was shopping for a boat. Miley being the old schooler that he was didn't prefer to chat long messages in private but would rather we talk the old fashioned way over the phone. He was such a nice guy to talk to and we talked about everything, not just boats, for what seemed near an hour on the phone. Total stranger but was always willing to reach out and help people or offer advice.

I was wondering why I wasn't seeing all that blue font he loved to type with :D. RIP MikeyL you will be missed sir!

I was watching the show "Lakefront Bargain Hunt" and there was an episode on Lake Sinclair (south of Oconee)

They were showing clips of the area and i swear they showed Mikey's house with his old Blue Yamaha on his lift... I recognized it from that grass he was always talking about (he had posted pics in the past on this site)...

If i remember correctly there was a House Hunters episode where they filmed at his house... They must of recycled some footage from that and used it on this new episode.

I pulled it up on demand on Xfinity and I believe you are right. looked like his boathouse with his boat on the lift. Cool find

I was clearing out saved voice mail from my cell phone a few days ago and one of the messages I heard was from Mikey. Listening to it brought a smile to my face.

Everytime I come across one of his old posts it makes me smile! I hope Barbie is doing ok....
