Boattest has published additional info today, including pricing ($44 - $47K, across several variations) and weight comparisons with similar hp inboards from Volvo and Mercury. Worth a look for the curious:

Boattest's photo illustrates just how large these bad boys are:

So in reality the only 100% true part of the article is the picture(unless Photoshopd)

Cause we all know boattest is an accurate website

Wow. I hope that guy is only 4'6".
Only a matter of time till someone bolts one to the back of their 24’ aluminum bass boat.

On a 3500 acre lake that's a little overboard, but on bigger lakes or rivers it makes sense. The last boat show that we went to in Dallas there was nothing but pontoons, wake boats and fishing boats. There was a healthy showing of jet skis and a nice large display of Yamaha jet boats:). Large pontoons are THE thing to have right now. So many boat companies that used to build I/O's are making the switch to outboards and if people are looking at moving to an outboard powered boat it might as well be a pontoon. With enough horsepower and a nice stereo system they can be cool if it fits your boating lifestyle.
I switched over to a tritoon and so far I must say I have no regrets. The comfort is on a whole different level and how smooth the ride is in choppy water compared to my 242 was truly amazing. I went through a narrow canal from point pleasant to bay head over here in Jersey and I used to be scared to take the Yamaha through because how the current rips and the low bow at low speeds. The tritoon didn't waver at all stayed dry the whole time was very impressed. Only had it a couple weeks but so far I was nervous getting rid of the Yamaha right now I can say I'm pleasantly surprised how this boat rides.

Maybe Yamaha 27ft is gonna be a jettoon..

I have thought about it. Bet they could work the pumps into the outer toons.

I was hoping for like a 27 footer to come out. I still loved my Yamaha setup just wanted something a little bigger.
