1.8L exhaust manifold dumping water.

@B0at1n

Just went out in the garage and snapped these pics of the freeze plug and the block behind the manifold. Don't see any evidence of a leak. :( Never been sad to find I DIDN'T have a leak before.

@B0at1n thanks for the tip!

What's a manifold removal look like mechanical and time wise?

I'll go dig around the boat here shortly and see what I can figure out.

Are you repairing or replacing the manifold?
The first time took me 45 mins to pull the second two times took about 15-20 mins.

it’s like 15 bolts and a few hoses and one sensor plug. Pulls right out.

I ordered the only thing I could find available a used manifold off eBay. Should have it Friday.

Per the recommendation of two techs if the outside is cracked, most likely the inside is damaged as well.

Yours looks much cleaner! Positive note the manifold is on back order so not a bad thing, but looks like your search continues!

First time since April my boat has looked like this.

Alright so the exhaust manifold came in

Of course it couldn’t just be bolt up.

the hose fitting for the inlet to the exhaust was missing.

we had to cut it out of the old one and then we were able to press it into the new one.
Was a little alarming that it was missing

After that excitement I got it installed in the boat and was able to take it out for an hour run on the lake with no issues!

Daaaaamn. Allow me to summarize:

So, I got the new exhaust manifold, but it didn't work, so I took the old one, cut things out and put them in the new one like a boss.

And it worked.

Props (or, in this case, un-props) to you, sir. You can fix my exhaust manifold any day.

It's 7am here and I think @B0at1n should get the "Got some shit done" award for the day already.

You've set the bar high for me today sir.
