7 Truly's.....not 8 not 6.....7

Moscow Mules are also very very delicious.... just fyi

My wife and I spike Lacroix (flavored water) with our favorite vodka, they are not as sweet as a canned seltzer.

Ditto! Key Lime LaCroix and Kettle. All of those seltzer’s make me sleepy...no clue why.

Thank you for clarifying, I’m pretty much a beer only guy and am not up on the newest alcohol trends. :)

The admiral did get a four pack of Brandy old fashions in a can that I had never seen before.

If it's not an Arty's, I think you should just go ahead and leave the state. I'll have to confiscate her contraband drinks, but perhaps upon consumption... errr... "inspection", maybe we can work out a deal.

Guess you should have posted this to the comedy forum .... getting far too serious in the off topic forum. ?????

Mixing a Forum cocktail...

White claws are more seltzer than a Truly. Also Truly's have alcohol distilled from sugar not grain. Minor details. Wife bought a mix pack of lemonade flavors with blackberry and cherry and strawberry. She didn't like the plain lemonade ones so I drank those. I'm a big fan of shandys so thought they would be a good fit. Turns out they are. Roughly the same alcohol as a typical mainstream light beer, but doesn't taste awful like a typical light beer.

Anywho. Took 12 with me to camp on Saturday. Ended up with 4 remaining when we returned. Little slower pace this time, took almost 8 hrs to drink 8 of 'em and I had about 4 bottles of water in there too. Very similar effect though.

Back to work tomorrow, so no more testing for another week or so.

I love how picky some drinkers are. My wife is picky, as well as some of our friends. I will literally drink anything they leave in the fridge/cooler. "I got this variety pack but don't like Mango"... Free drinks for me!

She had a Meyer Brothers offering at the State Fair on Saturday so she grabbed those instead of the Arty's. I'll let her know that you recommend Arty's and will pick up a 4-pack before we head out this weekend - if it ever stops raining.

That's me. I'm pretty drink agnostic in general.

Same day as I made this post, we left the cabin and headed to the little bar across the street. Went with "buckets" of Bud Light. They came out faster than the waitress was able to retrieve regular pints, and stayed cold longer. Was all about maintaining at that point :D. Left there and headed down to the friends camp site. Ended up with Bourbon and Coke for the remainder of the evening, again in similar maintenance of buzz style, and we were playing cards, so sitting around a picnic table made for an easy/slow drink on the bourbons.

Speaking of cards......What kind of jack leg yaywho invented the game Euchre? That's the most bass-ackwards, almost spades, but not quite game I've ever played. What a clooge that was.

Love Euchre, when I move to Georgia 11 year ago that is when I realized Euchre is a Michigan/Wisconsin game. Nobody down here had any idea what the hell I was talking about. And then try teaching someone Euchre after a few beers, forget about it. My dad and step-mom would have 5 table Euchre torments every year in between bowling leagues. Yep I am from the Midwest baby.

@Sean R I know you meant tournaments, but torments is such a better word. Hilarious happy accident there.

I've lived in Louisville my entire adult life. I moved to southern IN ~5years ago. Literally just 15miles into Indiana from Kentucky. Every dang one of my neighbors and friends over here plays Euchre. Seriously NEVER heard of it before.

Wonder if the Ohio is the official dividing line of Euchre knowledge?

Replying from my phone and I don't have my glasses on, that's my excuse. My wife is a teacher and I hate texting her anything, she constantly tears my grammer up. We all can't be wordsmiths ?

All my BIL's want me to learn how to play Sheepshead, I can't imagine Euchre is any better, because I don't know anyone who plays Euchre and I live in Wisconsin. I only know of the game from doing crossword puzzles and coming across the word that way and wondering what the heck it was.

How about Michigan 500 Rummy? Loved playing that growing up.

Spent the weekend on the outer banks playing Rumikub - effectively Rummy but with tiles you lay out and can play off other people's tiles. Easy to learn and fun.

If you live in Indiana and don't know how to play Euchre, than you are an outcast.... lmao
I'll second this. I played a few rounds with various partners and got nowhere FAST. There's like a never ending serious of "Play like this except when", followed by a list of exceptions even longer than the rules.

And don't get me started on the whole one card face up with another card face down over it to keep score. That's some black art that only the Euchre indoctrined can understand.....total mystery to me.

With all that said......it was a good group of guys playing. We had a good time. Mostly at my newbie playing style expense, but still a good time.

How about dominos? Mexican train dominos are the best, and you can have numerous players. It’s a blast. I can never remember how to play it because I usually get haamad pretty good playing it.

We call them KY Mules down here. Swap the Vodka for some good Bourbon. Love me some Mules, but the ginger beer gets to me after awhile.
